Exam Preparation Tips
Are you a student? Preparing for any exam? Want Exam PreparationTips?
If all these questions are in your mind, You are at the right
place. So, I will help give you Exam Preparation Tips.
Below I have mentioned all the important Exam Preparation Tips that you all should follow to prepare well for exams:
1. Where to study?
If the big question of studying confuses you, the answer
is very simple in a place where you are comfortable, relaxed and where you can
concentrate properly. If you can, study early in the morning, a library or any
place where you find a relaxed atmosphere.
2. Time for study
Time is probably the most important factor. According to research conducted, the human brain is in its most active state between 5 and
8 o'clock in the morning and 7 to 11 in the evening. Therefore, students
studying during these times have maximum retention power compared to others.
3. Review your syllabus before exam preparation
First of all, you should review your syllabus. Because you have to know what is in your subject or module. For example, just find out
the main topics and sub-topics of your subject. Sometimes, some undergraduate
or university students miss certain core subjects due to not reviewing the
syllabus before preparing for the exam.
4. Find and prepare short notes
Short notes or mind maps work well in exam preparation.
This is a tool you will use to make exam preparation easier. If you are not yet
making short notes, start now. To boot, it will be easy for you to remember
troublesome areas in your subject or module. Students should try to leave the
semi-dissatisfied half as it is not a good technique to find out. Instead, they
should make short notes while exploring. Collapsing can end everything, forget
everything, and making momentary notes will ease the basic cognitive process
while reducing all points.
If you missed taking some notes, ask a friend who has
good notes. Or you can directly ask your teacher or lecturer. Also, make sure
that you are asking for notes from a trusted friend who has the correct flow.
5. Prepare a time table for studies
Before beginning with studies, students should create
their own time-table, which directs all the fabrics, which should be lined up
and let them know what amount of study is required every day. In preparation
for the exam, preparing the time table will reduce the complexity of exam
preparation. The schedule of each subject needs to be made with completely
different priorities. Stronger subjects and also those during which a student
must be weak to run extra hours, and it is easier to run fewer hours with
comfortable intervals between every subject. The timetable should have been
broken in the middle of something very important. Also, make sure that you
stick to your time table.
6. Read the entire notes thoroughly, following the short
notes
First of all, you should read and understand your entire
notes. When reading your notes, make sure that you will follow the short notes.
So you can find if there is any deficiency in your short notes. In preparing
for the exam, this step is the most important step. In addition, it is very
important to read and understand every principle in your subject well. If there
is any extra allotted time, do not forget to read your notes again. Finally,
you should be able to remember every topic and its contents. But this does not
mean that you have to study all the material by heart. Just understand the
basic principle and translate it into your own words. On the other hand, it
will be easier for you to remember the entire area.
7. Write answers to previous papers and questions
If you really want to get higher grades, then you have to
answer previous papers and questions. This is the only way to increase the
speed of answering and writing for the exam paper. If you are a university
student, you can ask previous questions and questions from your lecturer. Also,
it is good if you can get a model question from your lecturer. When the exam
preparation is talked about, we cannot miss this step because writing the
previous paper will ensure your higher grades. Trust me, it will make a
difference in your next exam.
8. Practice Questions:
This is particularly helpful for subjects such as
mathematics. Practice doing the questions in the book that were assigned to you
for homework. Add additional questions to the back of the book. Repeat the
questions that you think are wrong, and try to find out why you called them
wrong. Practice the questions until you feel more comfortable with the content.
9. Study Break
It is important to study a lot while having a break
while studying is equally important. It lets your brain breathe for a while and
still works properly for the next study hours. When you study for 2-3 hours,
schedule an hour break before starting again.
Study time varies for everyone. It is helpful in
developing a study routine that works for you. There are some night owls who
study better at night, while some want to study in the morning.
10. Read your short notes again
Re-reading your short notes will brighten your knowledge
before the exam. Also, it gives you a guarantee that you will not miss even a
small thing in your exam. Therefore, make sure that you have re-read all your
short notes before taking the exam.
Additionally, I have to mention that, when you are about
to appear in your exams, do not meet and discuss the topic related areas with
your friends. Because it will stress you. If you follow the above steps, don't
worry, you will do well in your exam. Trust my friend, that is enough for you
to get high marks and grades.
11. Use Creative Techniques
If students find their subjects boring, they can repeat
their lessons in a variety of games, such as repetitions, flashcards, and
detention. Students should sit down with their notebooks and write as much as
possible, draw flashcards with information on them and go over them regularly,
designing strange rhyme or word associations to help them remember the digits
needed.
12. Start Visualizing
If you are a visual learner, it can help to create mind
maps or pictures to visualize how the concepts you are learning relate to one
another. Like science courses, this is particularly beneficial when learning
concepts that make sense of each other.
13. Explain your answers to others
With the help of your family and friends, you can excel
in your exams. To explain to them why you have answered a certain question in a
certain way.
14. Write Neat and Present well
When students write neatly and present their answer book
correctly, they are more likely to score high. Many times the teacher is not
able to read all the answers, but if he is affected by the way it is presented,
then surely the deduction of marks will be reduced.
15. Eating healthy food is good for the brain
Do not eat unhealthy food while studying. Keep your body
and the brain fit by choosing natural, fresh and vitamin-rich food which is
good. It will improve your concentration and memory.
There are Health food and Brain food. You need brain food to
aid learning. Stay away from junk food as it can affect your health. High
protein food keeps you focused like fish, nuts, seeds, yogurt and blueberries.
Have a good meal on exam days. Include foods that supply
energy continuously to their brain over a long period of time.
16. Sleep and Eat well
The biggest mistake students make during exam time is
that they do not sleep. They feel that sleeping is a waste of time. They should
believe in the fact that they need to sleep between 6-8 hours a day.
17. Lose the fear
Fear and stress are some of the major factors that become
an obstacle in achieving a high percentage. One should loosen all fear and free
his mind. Achieving a fixed score is beyond our control. This fact also has to
be understood by parents, who should not pressurize their children, but rather
increase their confidence.
18. Start Meditating
Students should meditate or pray well before the exam as
it helps to calm their minds and also provides boundless energy and peace to the
mind. And it is very important that you are confident about giving yourself
great results.
